Grafted
5th & 6th grade

Sunday Evenings

6:00-7:30pm   |   Building 501

Grafted is a preteen ministry under the leadership of OAKS Children's Ministry. We exist in order to equip 5th and 6th grade students with a Christ-centered, biblical understanding of acceptance, and what it means to be a true disciple of Christ. It is our desire to come alongside 5th and 6th grade students and enable them to understand how to see others through God's eyes by reaching out to others through core-community, discipleship, fellowship, and serving others. Sunday evening gatherings will focus on worship, discipleship, small groups, and fellowship.

Check-In for AWANA is located at the Children's Ministry courtyard/ The Fort area.
2017/2018 AWANA runs through April 2018.

Awana meets on Tuesday evenings from 6:25-8:00 pm

The name Awana comes from II Timothy 2:15; "Approved Workmen Are Not Ashamed." Awana began in a local church in Chicago, Illinois in 1950 out of the heartbeat to get the Word of God into the lives of their children and to provide a non-intimidating program so that these same children could bring their friends into the local church to hear about God's love for them. Awana is now in over 70 countries around the world, and children all over the world have an opportunity to hear and respond to the gospel of grace. Your kids will be motivated to learn and challenged to serve God right here at River Oak Grace and throughout our communities. The result . . . their lives will change, right in front of your eyes!

The three segments to every Awana Club night provide start to finish adventure:

Game Time

Every Awana meeting kicks off in high gear with team and individual competition. Fast paced organized games earn everyone's participation, unleashing natural energy and enthusiasm.

Small Group Time (formerly “Handbook time”)

Using achievement oriented learning segments; Awana emphasizes the use of God's Word for sound living. Scripture memory is used as a foundation to learning biblical truth as they progress through their handbooks, working individually and together with their leader.

Large Group Time

Your kids will sing praises to God during their large group time. They'll hear about God's word and biblical truth, share real life testimonies of what God is doing in their lives, and motivate each other as they receive their awards and prizes.
